MATRIX at the Warsaw Film School and High School of Film and Video Game Creation!

// 2025-09-12

A remarkable setup appeared on our patio - a 3D camera! We were visited by a team from Germany, who carried out volumetric filming for such blockbusters as "The Matrix", "John Wick", and "Mickey 17".

Our School became the venue for recording conversations with Zdzisława Włodarczyk and Niusia Horowitz-Karakulska, who survived the Holocaust thanks to the famous Schindler’s List. Her story was immortalized in Steven Spielberg’s film "Schindler’s List", on which Marek Brodzki - a lecturer at the Warsaw Film School and teacher at the High School of Film and Video Game Creation - worked as the 1st Assistant Director.

Our high school students had a unique opportunity to learn first-hand how volumetric filming works, explained by representatives of the German team:
  • Björn Stockleben (Project lead, professor, and head of the Producing Programme at the Film University Babelsberg)
  • Christian Zipfel (Art Director)
  • Stephan Bernardes (Producer)
  • Sven Bliedung von der Heide (CEO Volucap)
Our School is a place where cutting-edge technology meets projects with profound meaning - and we are proud of it!
